Hi Everyone,

My name is Rita and I live in Milton, ON. I have a newfie dog named Remington and have been hunting for a number of years with my husband and his family. I have a restricted license but don't have any handguns as my main interest is in hunting.

I've joined because I thought I should keep up with issues since hearing all of Miller's bull cr*p in the news.

RITA hello and welcome. Thank you for joining the group. If your family is into hunting look at EESA web site open house on June 21 and 23. Bring the family. EAST ELGIN SPORTSMANS ASSOCIATION. No doubt, as more women get involved that sportsman title will be dropped. I'm a member and will have numerous items there for guests to use. One of the MODERATORS on this forum stormbringer is EESA member and a CSSA rep.
My wife is also into shooting sports. Loves pistol, hates my moose etc rifles to much recoil. After 32 years of marriage I doubt she will change. Nice to have you here.
 
Thanks Buck45, I'd love to come to the open house. Unfortuneately I have a water rescue seminar with my dog that weekend. We're trying for his water rescue title which would be easy if he could pass the obedience part. I'll definitely look into it and try to make it to some of the meetings.

We normally hunt in the Loring area (near North Bay) as that is where hubby is from. I'd love to find a place to hunt in southern Ontario as it's closer to home and there seem to be more deer here. I just got my turkey license and will probably try turkey hunting next spring.
