Hello everyone. My name is Dave and I live in London, ON. I am fairly new to the shooting sports as I am young and only have had my lisence for just under a year now. I read ALOT about guns and hunting, love em both. I own/have had a few guns....a pat. 1904 Enfield was my first buy, not to sure why I did that but I still own it. Second I bought an awsome Remington 870 six shot, all black, very cool and mabey shot it 100 or so times but I sold it because I want a shotgun that I can hunt with, shoot skeet, ect and thought a shotgun was a little much for my first gun. So I bought a Ruger 10/22 when I sold my Remington and I ADORE it, lots of fun, shot it probably over 1000 times now. I would like to buy a nice rifle for targets and eventually hunting and then a Glock 17 once I join a gun club. The only issues I am having is that I am the only person I know who owns guns, likes hunting and all. With this is kinda a long hard process to figure out which guns are good to use, good gun clubs and shooting alone kinda sucks because I donno how to improve what I can do now. The one key thing I keep hearing or reading about the shooting sports is if your new the best thing to do is to learn from someone who has been into it for years and years and usually that is done by the father or whatever but my family isn't into guns sadly.
Anyways any info on good guns to use as a newbie, great places for hunting game such as waterfoul, grouse, deer, ect.(that don't cost $1000's, I am student and money is kinda tight). Also anything about good gun clubs, places to shoot or places I can go learn to improve, learn new techniques, use different guns, ect. I would be very greatful.
