Howdy,
As this is my first post I just wanted to say hello to all the Cowboy Action shooters, and all enthusists. My competitive name is Maddogz Mcoy, the real mcoy lol. I belong to three clubs in Canada and the USA and compete in both countries. My son and I are both into competitive shooting and my daughter is showing promise. I compete with a set of Ruger 357 mag Vaquero's, an 1894CB 357 mag Marlin lever action, and a model 97 Winchester 12 guage. I am currently training to compete in SASS compititions. I have been in Action shooting for just about a year now and train with three in the top 30 in North America. I look forward to meeting all who are into this sport as well as IPSC as I will venture into that eventualy. I will be doing long rifle next, black powder cartidge in 45/70 caliber to round off the Cowboy Action. I am presently heading to Kamloops BC for the Shoot out at Palmers Gulch meet. I will post details of my adventures there when I get back. Well bye for now, will post again soon.

Hey Brad,
I as you were aware I got switched to from the Novice catagory to Wrangler, which turned out to be the toughest division. I placed 5th in it lol. There were guys with 20+ years experience, were they pissed to find out I've only been doing this for 10 months lol. I was 44th overall out of 106 shooters. I have video's of the shoot and pics for you the next time we link up.

Howdy.

Castlegar is one of my favourite places. Somewhere I have pics from a 1999 trip (35mm back then) I took of Castlegar at night and then the exact pic in the morning during daylight from the mountain above the town. Good memories.

Welcome to CGN.....enjoy!

Hey back atcha

Well its nice to see we have some local yocals on here lol. I look forward to hearing from you again. For those local I shoot regularily at the Casino range just outside of Trail BC and if you can make it to one of our Cowboy or IPSC matches there's plenty of stuff to use. No one sits on the sidelines at a Cowboy action match. Sparky if you see this, the second Sunday from now (its july 13 now)is another dual meet with Cowboy action starting about noon, so come on out and I'll fit you up with what you need to shoot. Now I know single action is a little slow for you, but hey any day at the range is better than a day at work lol .

With a name like that are you in SASS? Where do you shoot? I train with Minto, Kokanee Kid, Capt'n Cobb, Tax Ridder, and Lady Slipper. They are SASS regulars. I have been doing this for about 10 months, as often as my wife will let me lol, and hope to start my son in it next summer. I placed 5th in the wrangler division at my first larger meet last week and was 44th overall out of 106. How did you get started?
