Hello from England.

Hello to you all.

Just joined this site to find out as much info as I can about shooting in Canada for when I move next year.

I shoot a lot in England and I have Canadian Citizenship. :dancingbanana:

Hoping to move away from the draconian rules we have on gun ownership in this country.

Welcome. While not as bad here, the Liberals are working on it.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Toronto.;)

Welcome

Welcome, but dont move to Ontario. Alberta, Manitoba or BC rule as far as gun ownership and use.

Ontario government still treats its voters like children who cant think for themselves.

Before long they'll ban everything from the sun ( and its cancer causing uv rays) to the soil for its radon emissions.

They've already started their shade audit plan in Toronto!

As others have stated, Alberta and the surrounding regions are the place to be.

Welcome aboard!

What?

You've got to be kidding!

More of our tax money being wasted by the Liberals...on senseless and stupid studies, committees, audits!!!!!!

Welcome to the mighty CGN!
Have a look at the Newbie FAQ section thing that I wrote. The link is in my sigline below.
Do you have any idea of where in Canada you might be moving to? Canada is a huge place, you have to narrow it down a bit!
Best of luck on your pending move.

I have lived in Calgary for 2 years in 2002/3.
But moved back to England until now.
Coming back to England only made me realise how crap it had become and how much nicer Calgary was that I left!!!!
Hindsight is great.

Thinking about trying BC on the island.

Maybe Port Hardy, Nanaimo or Victoria to start with. :D

I haven't ruled anywhere out (except Ontario :D)
Still doing lots of research.

I would like to move around until I find the place for me if you know what I mean.

Please feel free to name anywhere to add to my research. ;)

I guess the question is if you have or planning on working. Different cities will offer different work. I personally like anywhere in BC however the ferry cost on the Island is a pain. There's pretty much shooting anywhere you go in BC, there are a few ranges in the lower mainland and fraser valley.
