I just thought I'd introduce myself. I recently completed my PAL (May 7th) and am patiently waiting for my license. As soon as I receive it I'll be inheriting a few rifles from my wife's uncle. I just started shooting not too long ago and am now hooked.
 
Hello from another New Wester. Try and stay out of the way of the NW cops. They travel at 120kp/h in town, going from Royal Columbian's Tim Hortons to the new Tim Hortons at Byrne Road.

I haven't seen the firearms but apparently there are seven rifles and a handgun in the lot. My wife's uncle was an avid hunter before he passed away and neither of his sons are interested in the sport. He was into big game. From what the sons told me, there's a .22, 30-06, .300, 12guage and a couple more high calibre rifles. I'll let you all know as soon as I get those firearms in my hands.

I'll also got most of his hunting equipment already. Two compound bows, two recurves and two longs bows, his maps and some reloading equipment.

Glad that you've been hooked on the sport and that you found us... to bad it was under these circumstances.

I strongly resisted the urge to type out, "REPREZENT, YO!"

As I recently went through the same thing I can suggest that if your PAL app is taking an inordinately long time (Mine was 50 days!) that you run across the bridge to the CFC office in Guildford and politely knock on their door.

Edit: New West 5-oh certainly do like to drive around full throttle! I live downtown and those guys / gals are always flying by.
 
I only mailed out my app. about two weeks ago, so I won't be doing any knocking until mid June. I really can't wait.

Ya I know,Man Law states that pictures should be shown. I'll see if the aunt will let me have a look and take pictures, probably in the next couple of weeks, and try to find out exactly what's in the safes.

You guys should see the cops race across the Queensborough bridge during rush hour. :p
