hey guys, i've been reading this forum for quite some time but i guess i may as well get involved. anyway, names brad, as stated from down under in new zealand, i'm 21 years old and i'm really keen on firearms and hunting. i currently have a winchester 69A .22LR, a saiga .223, norinco sks paratroop, norinco m305, remington 700 .270 and a maverick 88 12 guage. i'm keen to get into pistol shooting and 3 gun, maybe even service rifle, when i feel like committing the money and jumping through the legislative hoops. i hate those hoops. any way i guess you'll be seeing me pop up round the forum from time to time. so i'll see you round.

PS: have a safe and happy christmas and new years fellas.

I'm sorry, but we don't allow people from New Zealand here. All you guys end up doing is making us feel jealous. :p Just kidding, welcome!

haha you guys make me jealous with some of those restricted rifles you have - you'd be lucky to ever see some of them down here. guess you guys are relatively lucky living close to the states :)

I would not say we are lucky to be close to USA....we are so restricted when purchasing anything from USA. Guns are a real pain ( if you can get them) ...ammo is just about non-existant. But whatcha gunna dooo?.....

Welcome to the forum fellow gunnut, hows the weather down there? Up here on the east coast we're almost all afloat with all the rain. Take her easy.:D

Welcome aboard, post some pics of your collection when you have a chance. Always cool to see what toys you guys have down under.

hey curtton, my sks mag was cut down at the factory to 7 rounds (NZ A-catergory limit). to have this rifle in its original specs (10 round mag, bayonet), i would have to get an E endorsement on my firearms license. and if i wanted to import an E catergory firearm i would have to surrender another E catergory firearm for destruction before the police issue the import permit. it's meant to stop the proliferation of "military style semi automatics". they are the most un-PC firearm type in NZ. gun laws. go figure.

Still 2 rounds more than us!
