thanks for the welcomes guys, the reason I am considering the move is of the female persuasion... don't know if it's gonna happen yet, looking at either Edmonton or Petawawa. She's in the army up there and is unwilling to leave it. She loves Canada and I love her, so the choice is kinda made for me. However, it will be a year before I can move as I'm in college right now.

As far as the draft notice... we don't draft anymore and anyways I already spent two tours in Iraq and one short one in Kosovo. Was reg. army at the 101st Airborne for 4 years and currently reserves in Minnesota.

I said "dirty" american cause my girl always calls me that as a joke. :)

Welcome to GunNutz and welcome to Canada, if that works that way. Welcome to Edmonton, too, if that's where you guys decide to settle (or the Forces decide for you).

No preconceived bad opinions about Americans, here. Most of us are related, anyway. My family, for example, crossed the border 2 or 3 times in the last 350 years (I'm thinking if the Liberals get elected here, it might be time for another crossing).
