Hello from Poland!

Trained with Dariusz Ciesnsky a while back, a pioneer in martial arts in Poland (knife fighting, stick fighting, Jeet Kune Do). He trains troops in Iraq in hand to hand combat. Being former military maybe you heard of him?

Sadly not, but I never made to Iraq, so maybe that's the reason

forget the pierogies, there are plenty of babchas that can supply the eats, I got one right next door, now if your bringing Krowka and Wyborowa then were taking :), I know it's a weird combo but who doesn't like candy and booze:runaway:

best wish for you and your family in your new home

Ha! Ha! Ha!
I think I'm not so typical Pole.
I hate vodka.
I'm the beer guy :)

Your excitement really reminds me what makes this country great. I am happy and excited for you. People just like you are what this country was founded on, unfortunately many people forget that. I'm sure my great grandfather felt just like you when he moved to Canada from Sweden in the 1920s and probably the same for many of our relatives.

Welcome to Canada and best wishes!

We didn't want to make the move inside Europe (even if my wife spent over a year in Ireland and Norway and enjoy her time there).
Mostly because we were hoping that people in Canada will welcome the new immigrants without the cold reserve typically found across Europe.
As you said - it's your tradition and the country was build by the immigrants.
We are lucky to follow this path.

Welcome to the greatest site for gun fanciers in Canada. Welcome to Canada too when you get here. I hope your transition to your area of skill is seamless here. Too often we bring in skilled people from other countries and then leave them twisting in the wind trying to get their qualifications recognized here.

I heard about this problem earlier and we are ready to start from the scratches.
I have a dream.
It is connected with the community service.
I would like to join the local Police one day.

Welcome to GunNutz and welcome to Canada (when you get here). Glad to hear you're coming, especially since you're a shooting sports enthusiast - we can use all the new members we can get. In Canada, and especially in Alberta, we are blessed with fantastic shooting and hunting opportunities. You will find, though, that the anti-gun fanatics are relentlessly hammering away at our rights. It's a bit of a double-edged sword - we enjoy some of the best, but we have to constantly fight to keep our birthright.

Anyway, plenty of time to talk shooting, hunting, and anti's later. LOTS of GunNutz in and around the Edmonton area. My best friend is a GunNut and of Polish heritage. I think the 40,000 figure for the Edmonton area is probably accurate. 35,000 of them don't sound or act any different than anybody else, so you wouldn't recognise them as Poles, if you didn't know their last name.

Your English skills are amazing for the exposure you've had. It wouldn't surprise me if you weren't indistinguishable yourself within a couple of years.

When you get here, drop me a line and I'll try to help you with understanding the "system" or other questions you may have.

Thank you for the introduction SS.
I may need some assistance in the future.
Especially with the city, the gun laws, location of the ranges and gun shops.
That was very nice from you.

Welcome!!!

Your arrival will make Canada a better place for all of us. :)

I just wish you were coming to Ontario. The west seems to get ALL the good newcomers. :(
