Hello,

I've recently taken an interest into hobby of rifles and arms.
Been looking up some firearms and this website seems a decent source for questions in Canadian community.

So far I have a couple of rifles looking into expanding to a larger stock.
I seem to favor the soviet arsenal for its iconic image but importantly reputation for reliability and simplicity, not to mention overwhelming surplus stock.

So far I had acquired.

Savage Arms 64F LR .22
SKS Soviet 1954 converted into Fiberforce SKS

Looking into;

SKS (another one for stock keeping)
AK (pff in Canada 'prohibited' because of evil looks) = CZ v58
Mosin Nagant 91/M39 or M44 (hallelujah 7.62x54mmR)
SVD (drool) ..... *sigh* of course 'prohibited'

Any questions or comments please ask.

I haven't heard positive things about eganville sportsman club, especially when it comes to acquiring a membership, heard it takes a long time to do that. I'm better off going into deep woods to fire a few rounds, plus I like to explore.

i was at the eganville monthly meeting last night new guy came in sat down at the meeting payed for his membership and away he went seems pretty simple to me

Get the Soviet TT33 too, small powerful handgun from the Great Patriotic War

7.62 X 25 military surplus, crates of cheap ammo!

Gun is about $200, based on 1911 design, reliable, durable, ez to clean, cant go wrong.
