Hello from Southwest Ontario,

Grew up with firearms, and used to be very much into shooting, different disciplines.
But then work and life happened, travelling for work and it seems like in a blink of an eye 30 years passed.

It became apparent when I found an air rifle in the back of a closet that I taught my kids to shoot with, same model air rifle I shot with,
and I also then found the canvas backstop that my father setup when I was 4 or 5.
Shooting that again brought back so many memories, made me realize I have to get back into shooting sports.

Started looking at "better" air rifles to plink with and realized that air rifles today are nothing like they were when I first looked at them.

Oh what a rabbit hole that was...
Wanting to shoot field target, 50m 100m bench, plinking without pissing off the neighbours from the noise...
like powder burners you can "adjust" power, change projectiles,
do everything except make big noise.
But I would still miss the actual technical of reloading cartridges...
So while it will fill 90% of a hole.

Still ended up getting a FX Impact M4 though. :)

While I've maintained all my old equipment and licenses for powderburners.
I want to get comfortable with air rifles first.
Probably hang out in the "Scuba Gun" section for a while at first.

Probably because I am afraid of becoming attached to something that is possibly being phased out in this country.
Hopefully I can enjoy that hobby for a longer period.
If things feel safer I may also get back into the other disciplines I really enjoy.
