Well, I just made my first gun purchase and I'm already addicted. So far I'm still in rimfire land, those $0.04 shells are just too cheap to beat I'm not the type of guy that can leave things well enough alone, so I'm sure I'll end up asking for gunsmithing advice sometime soon!
Looked at a couple of your other posts to see what you are interested in. I would like to point you in the direction of the Prairie Pistol Club. I have been a member there for a little over two years. They are all very easy to get along with and the membership is dirt cheap. I think it is $50 a year. That gives you full/anytime access to the outdoor range which is about 12 miles North towards the river. It has many pistol areas and targets and a 100 yard rifle range. The club also shoots in the basement of the rec center on Tuesday evenings through the winter. Rimfire rifles and pistols of all calibers are allowed in the rec center. http://www.prairiepistols.com/
Jason, THANKS!! I was hoping to find a winter range The gopher hunt precludes me tinkering too much in summer, but this winter I imagine I'll have more time to monkey around and need to test things.
