Hi everyone! I enjoy reading your posts and I can't wait to start posting more but I'm new to 'gun tech'! I'm a 'sarcastic-gun-loving-golfing-home-beer-brewing-jeep-driving-liberal-atheist-computer-dork' so hopefully I can add some good humour. :D I've had my hunting license for 15+ years (but prefer putting holes in paper) and just challeged my RPAL last year.

I bought my first gun 3 weeks ago and my second last week... can't wait to see what I buy this week! :rockOn:

Heres the story of my first gun purchase, which I must say was VERY positive other then the imbicile sitting in the cubicle in the call-center I had to call to give my info. :HR: who probably should be fired...

I call and get some lady, who asks for my ownership transfer case#, PAL# etc... as expected, but when I give her my address!!!

operator - 'have you moved recently?'
me - :confused:
still me - 'No I haven't moved since I have acquired my PAL'
operator - 'So you don't live at "1234 Abcde DR, This Place, ON?" (the sellers address that should be keep anonymous) f:P:
me- 'no thats the sellers address I beleive'
operator- 'oh yeah, your right, sorry, um yeah everythings ready to go, your new paperwork should be there in 2 weeks'
me- 'ok... uhhh, really? thanks, I guess'

WHAT A FAWKN WASTE!!!

Hey Maroon!!

If you want to slag some poor civil servant for making an honest mistake, go for it, but it kind of reduces your credibility when you call her an "imbicile". She might have got the address mixed up but she can probably spell imbecile.

the OP has every right to slag the civil servant for makeing a honest mistake as i have the same right to slag her because it is my address she gave out. i am the former owner who sold the firearm to the OP. yes she is a imbecile / imbicile for screwing up. i respect my privacy and prefer people dont know where i live and that i own firearms and she totaly violated that.

luckily for me sk8snwmx is a very credible guy and im not worried about any breach of my privacy, just a little annoyed is all. leave it to the government to annoy by violating my privacy rights.

Yeah right!! That'll be the day!! I just don't believe in slagging people for making an honest mistake.

If somebody misreading some info was the biggest mistake anybody at the CFC ever made we wouldn't have much to ##### about would we??

I think it's a riot that someone can make a statement insulting someone elses intelligence and not even be intelligent enough to spell the term used correctly. Now that's irony
