Can you hunt there?
I'd love to sleep with a rifle in my hands after a day looking at scenery like that.

Only indigenous Tibetants are allowed to hunt seasonally. Sometimes some PLA soldiers posted on the border would hunt once a while to make a couple of good meals during the year as the supplies are hard to get there and the food quality is just bad. Otherwise you would find a lot poachers driving nice SUVs equiped with the state-of-the-art stuffs smuggled from abroad. The police there has a special task force deployed to chase those poachers, but very often the police will be out-equiped. The poachers are very very bad cuz the numbers of the animal they got will be hundreds of thousands if not in millions if there were any police forces present. Many police officers have been killed by poachers.

I know a Canadian girl who was teaching English in Beijing would spend the whole summer break under Everest picking up the garbages. Curiosity has brought many domestic and foreign tourists to Tibet for the last couple of years, which has put a lot more pressure on the environment.

I've never been there in my life. Wish I had the chance to go.
