Hello everybody, Glad to be a part of this forum. I was referred to this site by a co-worker and have been browsing for a couple days. All I can say is that these forums seem like a great place to get information and everyone seems to be very helpful. Im currently doing my PAL and the RPAL is right after. Hope to see you guys in the equipment exchange as I am interested in purchasing some handguns and maybe an AR-15 down the line.

Yes I am :D Cole is a good "kid" and will be a welcome part of our Nutz family. Its amazing what an afternoon at the range can do for someone who's never shot anything other then a pellet gun  Needless to say Cole has gotten the bug. He is doing his PAL course this weekend then right after his RPAL.

Im sure there are but none that I know of, Im on the northern tip of the island!
campbell river has a nice range with a 200 yard range but it is way out of town.courteney has a nice range and wellinto cowboy action shooting. courtenay has a website.

Victoria's most popular range is the Malahat range which is the Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association. Yearly membership's around $90, with a covered rifle range, shotgun range, archery range, and a "multipurpose" range, which has multiple "lanes" for ipsc-style shooting.

There's also the North Saanich Rod and Gun club, but it's up by the airport and it's like $200 yearly and a $150 initiation fee. On the other hand, heated, covered range with returning target rails!

I think there's also a Juan de Fuca range, but I'm not sure about the details.

As far as gun shops go, there's Island Outfitters, by Walmart downtown Victoria, which is more of a fishing/archery/camping store. They're a bit expensive, but have a dedicated gun room and lots of toys. Pullen's Gunsmiths are out in the highlands, and have more of a "old boy's club" feel. Only open Friday Saturday and Sunday 10-6, with free cookies and coffee always on. Nice place to just hang out and BS :)

Hope that helps!
