been lurking long enough, thought it might be about time to say hello, i'm 22 years old, and my name is Fred, i'm not into hunting or anything but I really do enjoy target shooting/plinking, and bought myself a .22 to get back into it Marlin 795, and put a 3-9x32mm tasco scope on it. aswell as a bipod, great rifle, I am very happy with it.
when I was about 9 years old I was out shooting with my dad and my brother I was shooting an older bolt action .22 and i'm not 100% sure what happend but the bolt didn't close all the way or something (it locked in fine) and the back of the cartrige blew out and I have had several particles of brass in my eye eversince, I can see fine out of it, but I can also see particles when i look at a white wall or read a book etc. it could have been alot worse i'm sure, people take note, shooting glasses is a good idea, eversince this insedent, i've maybe fired off about 10 rounds total. (till about 2 weeks ago when I got my 795, has about 700 rounds through it
)
I am happy to be getting back into it, and hope to get to know some of you, I will post pics of my rifle soon.
