Hello everyone,
Been meaning to join up with a gun forum for some time but just finally got around to it!
I have a Great selection of guns, old and new and am looking foreword to whatever I can learn from this site.
Just a quick 1st image of my latest additions to my collection.
Been shooting for a very long time, got out of it for a while but back now and loving it.
Hunted for years but not any more. Just like to target shoot, the challenge of a difficult shot and love the mechanical wonder that is the gun!

A lot of effort and expense to build those kool boomsticks ... seems you found the right place to chit chat and pick the brains of some truely knowledgeable experts in whatever field that turns your crank.

Me? ... show us the old stuff;)

Ya no doubt there is some expertise and expense that went into the development of these and others like them. Guess that's why I've migrated towards them, love the mechanics of it all. Not much into hunting anymore, have the skills if I ever need them though (thanks Dad, where ever you are RIP).
Here's some pics of some of the others, not going to share all.
These images show my:
Rem 280, couple of 30-30's (one RCMP members issue), 22-250, 308, Beretta semi-auto 12 gauge, Rem 870, Black Powder rifle (family heirloom), a few 22's

Ok, those are just plain freaking cool!
Just got back from shooting the Savage, WOW! Stopped raining for a couple hours so made a run for it!
Need to challenge myself more with it next time though, 200 yards and 1 1/4" groups was too easy. What an amazing weapon!

About the model 67 Winchester

Hello Cadcam,
Another newbie member here. Thanks for posting the pics of your collection. Of all the fine rifles there, I'm keying on (what I believe to be) the Winchester model 67 .22 - second from the bottom in the photo. We have one of those in the family, it was the gun I learned to shoot with 40 years ago, and I was out shooting gophers with it a few weeks ago.

Even when I was a kid back in the 70's, it was just "the old .22", kicking around the farm, bouncing around behind the seat in the truck, jammed in the corner of the tractor cab - and it still is today. The stock got broken back in the 30's when Nellie the horse stepped on it, and has been sporting a band of hockey tape to hold it together ever since. I did an amateurish refurb job on the stock when I was a teenager and I'm thinking of rescuing it from farm duties and refurbing it more properly. I've recently been searching the net for info and photos, and yours is one of the few photos I've seen.

Was it in your family, or did you acquire it later? Is that scope original equipment? Wikipedia speaks of a model 677 that came with integral scope mounts and an optional scope.

Hey yabbadabba2,
The 22 was my fathers and he bought it used when he was 16. It is a Winchester Model 60A made between 1932 and 1939. My father gave it to me when I was 8 and it is as good today as it was back then. The scope has always been on it as far as I know. Single shot and accurate as hell. Scope is a bit of a challenge to use but no way I'm going to change it, cool just the way it is. The musket was built by my great grandfather over 150 years ago. the barrel was hand forged and the stock hand carved. It's no work of art but works and I love it for its age and history. The one RCMP Centennial Members only rifle was my fathers as well, never been shot, nice collectors piece.
Great to hear your story about the Winchester model 67 in your family. Nice to know that there are others out there.
