Hi Everyone,
New to the site. Mainly interested in deer calibres. Have hunted with a variety of "antique" family rifles: Longbranch No. 4 mk 1*, Lithgow No. 3, a couple of sporterized P-17s, the 1912 model 1894 .3030 from great uncle John, my brother and cousins' M-44s and late Grandpa Joe's Winchester Model 88. I am currently seeking a new or slightly used lefthanded Tikka T3 in .308 Win. No one in the country seems to have a new one and Stoeger doesn't know when they are getting new ones into Canada. So I guess thats it. My brother told me about this site, and although I may not share in some of the political viewpoints expressed, I can get along with fellow hunters and shooters!

That's o.k bro. This is not a political site, it is a firearms site. Join us and share your knowledge and enthusiasm for our sports.

P.S. It is a fact that nobody agrees with anybody on this site. The capital "C" conservatives make it look like they are the only ones with any opinions of value, but it is all par for the course. All in all the moderators do a pretty good job of keeping the site clean.

I went the other way... sold my .308 and picked up a nicely sporterized Swedish Mauser (Husqvarna) in, of course, 6.5X55.
