Hey guys/gals. Thought I'd say hi seeing as I'm finally getting my "stuff" together and getting my license this weekend...only been putting it off for about 10 years LOL! Don't worry....I personally don't own any guns right now, but some family wants to get rid of theirs and I want to pick up one or two of my own....

I'm leaning towards an AR15 style, but still trying to shoot some different rifles to see what I like. I may also go with a nice .308 if I can find one I like...

I'm looking forward to reading through the threads and (as always) learning as much as I can!

I figured I'd do both...the course and the licenses. For only a day, and not a whole lot of money I'll be sure that the habits I've formed (from shooting with some of the city's finest ) are up to par. LOL I don't think there will be a problem at all, I've been around firearms for years.

I'm really liking the M16/AR15 .223 rifles, and yes I am aware that most of them are restricted, but does anyone know of a good book to learn more abou them? Or should I bring a case of beer over to ATR and see how much info I can get out of them?
