Hey folks,

New to the forum....and I guess relatively new to firearms, although I have done plenty of plinkin with 22's in the past...

Recently got the bug again and went through the firearms safety course and have fired off my PAL application. Was sent here by a LEO friend who suggested I check it out!

I'm really looking forward to picking up a nice new rifle, something as AR like as possible but non-restricted so I can take it outside the range...and probably a nice 1911 when funds permit...

I look forward to educating myself with all the knowledge and info already here...

Cheers,
Scott

Hello and welcome. There are a lot of people here with a lot of good information. All you have to do is ask.

Hey folks...thanks for the warm welcome's...

I'm actually in Burnaby....and plan on joining the Burke Mtn. Range once my PAL goes through....

Welcome, I'm from BC too. Check out Burke Mtn. before you join. You are crammed (like shooting out of a phone booth), take your lunch, there's usually a wait, and it's a bonus if you can speak at least 2 languages. Cheers

Thanks for the tip Win22!

I think that is one reason I'm leaning towards a non-restricted AR type rifle that I can take outdoors and shoot...I have a map of allowable areas in the lower mainland...

I also hear they have frequent and long cease fire's at Burke....but unless I want to travel great distance, it's one of the only places around that allows long guns...!?
