Hello Everyone

I've got a brand new Dominion Arms Grizzly 12.5 shotgun with ghost ring sights. I purchased from Canada Ammo and it's my first firearms purchase. Having convinced my wife to support my decision to get my PAL and purchase and learn to use a couple of firearms, she's now 100% behind it. So much so, she surprised me with a homemade 'sheath' or lightweight case for my 12.5 inch 12 gauge Dominion Arms. It's awesome and she feels like she's made a valuable contribution to our venture. However, we have 1 problem, the ghost rings get caught on the sheath and make the thing non-compatible. Just really can't easily put it in and out without it getting caught and tearing the material. Now, I could try to explain this to my wife however, she's soooo excited about the gift she made, she feels involved, she's even now thinking about getting her PAL. Telling her that I can't really use what she made me would bring this all to an end (Married guys out their know what I'm talking about).

So, I'm looking for someone in the Vancouver area that would like to exchange my brand new, never fired Dominion Arms Grizzly 12.5 with ghost ring sights for a Dominion Arms Grizzly 12.5 in good condition with bead sights. Bead sights should allow me to easily use the sheath she made. I would like to do this in a way that she doesn't realize that I've swapped the gun, follow me?

Any help anyone could give would be awesome!

Thanks!
Rick

I just bought one myself. Great little shotgun. Remington 870 barrels are interchangeable with the Dominion Arms Grizzly. Or if you want, Canada Ammo also sells spare barrels as well. Here is a barrel with a bead sight :https://www.canadaammo.com/product/...-dominion-arms-grizzly-remington-870-shotgun/
It may set you back $150.00, but that way you could have both a beaded barrel and a ghost ring sight set up as well.

Here's a spare 870 barrel with a 14" length: http://northeasternarms.com/14-5-remington-870-barrel.

Or try to find a used one. You may have trouble finding a 12.5" one to match the Grizzly though.

I have the same problem with my sheath as well, and the solution that im going to use it to get a piece of hard slippery plastic thats in a U shape and somehow pin it inside the sheath so that it slides easily in and out. It might take some time and effort but its better than spending 150 for a new barrel IMO

sent a link for a barrel on EE to private message. you can always sell your barrel for about $150, I sold mine about a year ago for that exact price

We either remove the rear sight & use the bead barrel, or smooth & round the front sight so it wont snag, we've done lots of both!
