Looks like I’m in for an oversized bushing kit? Sorry I am new to pistols and it would be helpful if someone could point me in the right direction. Pistol is a Kimber Custom Covert if it makes a difference. Anywhere in Canada carry a kit like the one I’ve heard brownells has with the tap and new bushings?

I bought a kit a few years ago from Brownells. If you want to save a few bucks, just order the bushings and I can lend you the tap I have.

Your probably at least 10th person I've heard of stripping the frame on a kimber. Did the bushing come out with the grip screw? It isn't a standard tap .255-60 comes to mind to oversize it I would just order the bushings and tap or check with a local gunsmith because this isn't uncommon.

Yeah doing a little bit of ugugalizing, seems to be pretty common with these Kimbers. Thanks “baldabe” that’s very generous, although I’ll probably just go ahead and buy the kit of 4, and do the one, no sense in doing them all premature. It would be best to have the tap for when the next one goes hehe. Seems like this is just the way to go, thanks guys
