Hi, just wondering if anyone out there can offer an opinion on an accuracy problem with my 9mm loads. I have a feeling it probably has something to do with my reloading process.
I am finding that my reloaded ammo is shooting FAR to the left when compared to similar factory ammo. Typically, my groups with the reloaded stuff is about 4 inches left of my point of aim at 25m. However, when I switch to factory ammo, it's dead on, regardless of brand. I have benchrested the pistol and have had others shoot the ammo in different guns and the problem is consistent with my reloaded ammo. I have ruled out the idiot pulling the trigger
I have tried to vary the charge and the OAL of the loaded round with no improvement.
I'm shooting Speer 147 gr TMJ bullets through a Sig 226 with 3.4 gr Titegroup. Chrony shows an average of 900 fps. I have also switched to Hornady 147 XTP bullets and the problem still exists.
Using a Dillon 550 press, all Remington cases, CCI primers, seated to 1.130" and slight taper crimp.
Has anyone run across the same problem? I'm thinking of switching powers to rule out a powder problem. Any insight would be appreciated.
