A buddy of mine i got into shooting has just got his STAG lefty M15
any way it has one of these
http://www.armseast.com/ARMS40L.html
he'd figure he'll pick up some glass later anyway at 50m the windage has to be CRANKED all the way to one side just to hit a 4inch circle
It groups ok but really I would expect a little better at 50
I figured that sight would be good for at least 100 m

ADVICE ....direction anyone?

cant think of the reson why, other than perhaps he is looking more to one side, or that he is canting the rifle to one side when he shoots.

other than that, maybe try shimming the sight some how.

I'd say send it back to see if there was a glitch in the manufacture.

I have one and it works well pretty much centred.

I have a Stag 2R with the same problem. With mine its the front sight post its not perfectly vertical. Its leaning slightly to one side, its hard to notice. I'm using an Comp M2 right now so it doesn't bother me. I'll end up getting it fixed some time in the future.

Same problem here.

I had what ryushi is talking about a while back. when the manufacturer drilled the holes for the front sight pins, they were drilled at an angle, causing the front sight to be off from center. Its not much, I had to have a fellow CGN'r look at it, and do some tests to show me what it was. Dangertree was really good about it. Had a new upper reciever to me in weeks, no charge. I don't know how it happens, but it does. And its not everyone coming out is like that. We're just the short bus special types for some reason.

No problem at all with mine. Was already zeroed by Dangertree when I got the rifle, took me 5 rds to adjust it to me (2 click left, I was using US Army zeroizing target)

I would suspect that the FSB is canted -- and further surmise that Dangertree is PM'ing you to fix the issue..
Want to confirm the exactly what's going on first, but if so, yes.

I didn't get from that whether the rifle zero'd? Initial adjustment for zero is routine, if a rifle cannot be zero'd, we'll fix or replace it out of inventory.

Edit for musings.
