My new rifle is on its way, should have it within the week.

I went online to order a new pelican case for it today, but am not sure it will fit the 1720 case at 42". I will go to the longer case if neccessary, but would like to stay with the shorter one if possible.

Could someone do me a favor and measure their gun and let me know how long they are.

Thanks

Hmmm Might have to angle that 700LTR with that brake attached. I've got a Pelican 1720 (without any foam) which I use to house my 20" Shilen Match barreled M700 in AICS. What I do is use an Uncle Mike's 42" rifle case as the foam liner that can be redeployed quickly when I open the Pelican 1720 since it may be too bulky once I arrive at the "range". ;)

Hope this helps...

Cheers,
Barney

I have a 700P LTR and a Pelican 1750 which I had bought for a different rifle.

It does have a bit of extra space, but I don't like things cluttered and it affords room for extras down the road.

Sorry for the weird angle and picture quality!

I would go for the 1750 as well, especially if you are planning on mounting a brake. Like TopDollar, I prefer to have a bit of extra space rather than cram everything in too tightly and having thin walls between cutouts and edges
