Does anyone know what makes / models of small rifles [I'm guessing .22 boys type ] were made without butt plates on them?
I have a butt stock that is just under 12" long and looks quite similar to the popular Stevens Favorite and other models except the butt end is nicely rounded and finished in a typical 'Carbine' shape. Has never had a butt plate on it. It mounts with a through bolt that is counter bored about 1/2" in the centre of the butt.
It is straight grip style [no pistol grip and no raised comb]. The front end of it has a 3/8" square vertical slot that fits an extension on the rear of the action.
So who knows their small .22's [I think] that have 2 piece stocks? Any Ideas?

Upload the picture to photobucket or imgur. Well help with the rest. Either that or you can email the pic and I'll post it for you.

Yep; could be off a .22 pump action rifle.......but I still can't find a picture on one online. Don't think its heavy enough for a shotgun butt unless its from a .410 or 28 ga. Guess I'll keep looking for pictures and ideas. Thanks

My random as they get guess: a .22 pump? Remington Model 12 or some type, maybe? I actually have no clue...
