Help! AR15 lightweight BCG question.

At the beginning I just simply want to reduce some weight so I choose a LW BCG and its TiN coated. And then people suggested me adding an adjustable gas block to compensate the LW BCG. Although without adjustable gas block, the rifle would work fine, I still purchased the adjustable gas block just in case.... and I have LW BCG and adjustable gas block... I’m think take some weight off the buffer and limited gas flow to reduce the recoil feeling...

Idk I’m totally new to this...so my opinion change fast haha

not sure if this will help... my system comes with 18''bbl rifle length gas, adjustable gas block, LWBCG, A5 tube, reduced Power Rifle length buffer spring and 3.3oz A5 buffer. I set up my gas block to run my lightest reload 55gr. bullet( 2900 fps), although my normal reloads run @ 3100, which almost the same velocity as commercial 223/556 ammo.

Thanks a lot.
I have purchased adjustable gas block. And now I’m actually think to take some of the weight of buffer.... hahaha

BTW everyone,

Is that possible to take the weight out of the buffer to reduce the moving mass with adjustable gas block and LEBCG?

Yes you can, I am running an empty buffer on my lightest weight build (4lb 5.1oz). 11.5” with mid-length gas, superlative adjustable block, jp spring and lightweight bcg. Cycles extremely smooth with gas dialled in. This isn’t something I would suggest if you are changing ammo or bullet weights often however.

Adjustable gas block or start messing with springs and buffers.
3rd option is a JP enterprises captured buffer assembly. It comes with a spring kit and a hefty price tag.

Is the JP capture spring actually work different than nomarl buffer kit if they are the same weight?
I did research online and everyone is saying the difference is the noise of the spring is reduced. Are there anything more for 200 bucks?

A spikes tungsten buffer and jp silent buffer spring is althe best way to get the noise down.

You dont need a JP spring kit if you have an adjustable gas block.

It comes with a spring kit so swapping out lighter or heavier springs will help you tune. Like he says above though you dont need one if you use the adjustable gas block.
