Help Bolt stuck in battery

Have you checked to ensure case length is correct? Twice fired .223 brass will significantly stretch requiring some trimming. If the cases are not identical you can have crimping issues by having one crimp had and another crimp very lightly.

improper crimping can cause overpressure.

H4198 is not a good powder in an AR15. It works great in a .223 bolt gun but I've never been able to make it work in any of my AR15's. This a fast powder and I suspect that the pressure curve is causing some weird things happening here. Also, 21.7gr is right at the maximum for this load. If you Google AR15 load recipes, you'll find that H4198 is not amongst the many suitable powders. I would stay away from this powder and get some H335, BLC2, Varget, H4895 or any one of the recommended powders to try.

It's a good powder for 30 Calibers however one needs to be cautious when trying to push the cartridge. COL, crimping, shoulder bump and powder measures need to be bang on or one can experience failures. I like the I4198 over the H4198 because it's more forgiving but takes up more space in the cartridge. One thing reloader's need to understand is they are different and the data "is NOT" interchangeable.

This past week end I had two failures by pushing the 130 gn bullet behind 28 gns of H 4198 very hard to 2656 FPS in 20" AR. The H4198 has no issues even tho it has higher overall pressure.

These are 5 times reloaded hot hot load results.

It was 20gr IMR4198. I do have Varget but was trying to use up my 4198as I have 2lbs and no other use for it. I'm shooting heavier bullets in my bolt gun. I'll check on length of my fired brass and pull the remaining 2 rounds and check them as well.
