Trying to place an order with Brownells for 2 M&P45 mags and holster for same, everything working fine (in stock) until I fill in the payment field... and I get an error saying credit card number is not valid. I've tried 3 times, verified that my stubby fingers did input the correct digits, but still can't get the payment to process.

HELP anyone? Has anyone encountered this before? Is it because my Visa is Canadian? :(

*** Solved, added the 4500-###x-###x-###x (dashes between groupings) and was accepted. ***

Did you try calling the 800 number? I've had issues with VISA not working on a site before, not sure why. I think I just went EMT instead. Canadian VISA definitely works in the states though.

Edit: they won't ship some items to Canada due to US regs. Also gun parts over $100 can be problematic. Give them a call.

Is it a Visa debit card, some mail order companies won't accept them. Do Brownells ask for the 3 digit number on the back, it could be that too.

I had the same issue with my Visa on my last order, so I tried my MasterCard and it worked fine.

I have items sitting in the cart because I can't get Visa or Mastercard to work: I tried my Mastercard, friend's Mastercard, his wife's Visa and even asked in advance and tried the company Visa... none work.

Here's the list:

M14 Simulated Selector Lever (someone on CGN said these ship here) x1
M14 Front Sight Set Screw, Springfield x1
M14 Front Castle Nut Set Screw, Springfield x2
5 pak Hornady .060 Decap Pins x1
Lee Universal Decapping Die x1
Lee Universal Shellholder, #2 x1

The cost is pennies from $71.00. The order is for the M14 stuff, the rest is just add-on to fill it up to $100.00

I've never had a problem with my Mastercard: it's the same number I have used for years with them, for the 4 order I have received form them...

.... just out of curiosity, because the instructions say "with or without dashes/hypens" , I reloaded my numbers separating each of the 4 groupings with a dash.... and VOILA it worked.... funny.

I have tried both...

Billing address

I have been very careful to check every box, and make sure the Mastercard billing address on my statement was exactly like the billing and shipping address on Brownell's.

It comes up with the same statement "Credit card cannot be accepted: Invalid number".

Maybe it was the day? Maybe the OP and I placed it during an Interac downtime somewhere?

I plan on trying it again later this week, as I may add a few more bits...

UPDATE:: Contacted Brownells this morning & everything went through fine..... holster for my M&P 45 and 2 M&P45 magazines = $91 U.S for items, and $10.55 U.S. shipping for USPS First Class international mail.... SHIPPED less than 24 hours after ordering.. wow! Lets hope the Border Nazis don't smear the package with duties and brokerage.... :HR:

sadly you will probably get raped at the border...and they tend to sit on it for 2-3 weeks then send it on covered with yellow border services tape that they patch it back up with after opening it to root around... :(

FYI: it is only gun parts, magazines and related that count toward that $100 limit. Tools, reloading gear, (i.e., decapping pins), accessories like holsters, etc do not. You can order as much of these at one time as your wallet will allow.

However, if your order totals more than $100, they will not send it USPS INTFC regardless of its contents, weight, size, etc. Shipping jumps to $25-$30 pretty fast.
