I 've been trying to sight in my Burris 3x-9x Fullfield II on my AR180B for the last 3 days and I am having a hell of a time.
I have the scope sitting high in a set of 1" high Weaver see-thru rings, at 100 meters the groupings are horrible (6"-10" groups) and there is no consistency - sometimes they are way too high, then way too low, then way to the right, then way to the left.
It's not the rifle because I can get 1.5"-3" groups with the iron sights at 100 yards regularly (I removed the scope to double check).
The rings were tight - the base is tight. Is the scope damaged?
It was bought new, but, I did notice that in trying to sight it is I reached the bottom on the "Up/Down" turret. I know this is bad, it was not my intention... could this 'cause damage to the scope?
I am wondering if I should send it to Burris?
Also, I noticed that Burris is in the US... how hard of a time will I have sending the scope to the US for service then getting it back??
