Hey Everyone,

I was wondering If anyone has experience with changing out a Hunter Stock with a Finnlight Stock. I have a 6.5X55 85 Hunter Stainless and I would like to exchange the stock to a finnlight. Anyone know if this is possible by any chance?

Thanks again

Shawn

It would be possible if the new stock is inletted for the same action length. Shouldn't be a problem at all

Sako 85 actions come in 6 different lengths: XS, S, SM, M, L, XL. 6.5x55 should be a M sized action. I think that would be a downgrade. The laminated stock from the Hunter is much nicer than the plastic stock from the Finnlight. But if you want to save weight it's either that or an aftermarket stock.

The hunter isn't laminated but it would be a downgrade. He probably just wants to protect the wood.
