The prices for converting calibre's is relatively in expensive I have conversions for .233/.308/338 LM and .408 Cheytac it is $75.00 US per conversion [Cutter Head Trimmer and Case Holder]

Giraud beat all others..it is a chunk of cash but for those of you who shoot a lot of .223 & .308 it is THE tool. I hate trimming case but the Giraud make it easy and less painfull since it trim and do the inside and outside chamfering in one operation.

He definitely ships to Canada - mine actually arrived with no problems - via USPS. He ships all Canadian orders through the post office, so we don't get ripped off by the courier companies.
I have mine set up for .308, but have the .223 incase I want to reload for .223.
It is absolutely the most efficient way to trim. You can trim every time you load if you like - no effort at all.

After using a few different trimmers, I believe that the lee case trimmers with the electric drill is the fastest, and most repeatable way of trimming. I trim after every firing, as it allows me to fallow the case hardness; and that isn't difficult with the Lee.

I settled on Lee, for when I feel lazy, and Wilson, when I'm willing to do a little more work. Both are very good. Never did set up the Wilson for power trimming. My Lyman case trimmer has always been poor and the point made about the set screw for cutters being small is true too. That Giraud sure sounds like a great trimmer, but pricey. $75 seems a lot for a change in caliber, if I read right.
Damn you...now I have another thing to worry about.
Next time, keep this info to yourself. The last thing I need is more prep to do on my brass.
I am currently prepping some 400+ 6BR cases for upcoming matches this month and I really DO NOT have time to start worrying whether my bases are square or not!!!!

Ahhhh, the Giruard is a finely machined piece of work. I absolutley love trimming brass with this machine. Just wish I hadn't done it all so I still had some more to do.

The Giruard is pricey, but customer service is excellent and its warrantied for life. I leave it on my bench, I think I like it more than my Dillon 550!

I'm pretty happy with the Lee system with a drill for the amount of rifle reloading I do. If I were going through several hundred rounds of rifle ammo a month, I would probably seriously consider getting a Giraud.
Sun and Steel 77, you generally don't need to trim pistol cases, or any other straight wall case. This should save you a fair bit of work.

I'm loading for a Marlin 1894C. It stretches cases unfortunately.

I usually trim all my brass either once or twice a year, depending on how much use they get.
I use my Wilson trimmer but a powered unit would be the cats ass....anything to speed up the worst damn part of brass prep.
With powder almost impossible to find and bullet prices going through the roof, I have a feeling that they will only be getting one trim this year. Well....maybe one more before the provincials.
