Well, I went and got adventurous and did a full disassembly (Minus the trigger itself) of my SP-01 and now I cant get the sear assembly back in. It popped out so easily and now I cant get it back into place. It doesn't want to go all the way back so that the safety lines up. The trigger bar seems to be getting in the way and I'm unsure how the hammer hooks have to be positioned for it to line up.

Ive been trying now for the last hour or two.. everything else hasn't been a problem so far, even the tiny springs were only semi frustrating.

Any Help?

Well, after some fiddling the Safety detent plunger (on the right) and its accompanying spring flew out. I found the Detent plunger but the spring is who knows where now. Awesome! I assume its the Ambi-Detent plunger because I cant find any exploded views that have it on the right side.

I am going from memory here as it was a year ago but I do remember all the little springs in the CZ being a pain if they went flying. I am open to correction by anyone who has a better suggestion or has done it more recently...

Put the safety-detent plungers in place with the tiny spring.

I used a cut down roll-pin as a slave to hold the place of the sear spring in the sear module/cage then put the cage into position in the frame. This will keep the safety-detents in place.

I had the frame in a padded vice cuz it felt like you need 3 hands.

I think I fitted the right sided safety first (not 100% sure based on memory). Used a small slot-head screwdriver to push the safety detent backwards allowing the safety to get it. This will push the slave pin out of the left side of the frame and the sear spring will find the slot on the shaft of the safety.

I think I fitted the left side safety back in next. Used the edge of small screw driving to push backwards on the dimple on the left safety-detent , then pushed the safety in place when the detent was out of the way, then turned the safety until it mates with the detent properly.

Once the safeties are in and mated properly you are good to go.

Good luck,

Andrew

Good luck! I finally sent my gun to Gunnar to re-assemble as I to lost one of the springs in my gun room. If you do manage to get it back together you will be on my hero list.:D

You guys are scaring me..... :D

Note to self...... Disassemble Shadow in a sealed clean room and keep magnet handy to find lost springs......

I read up on a few sites on how to detail strip a Shadow as I usually do it a few times when I first get a gun to familiarize myself with it. I don't think I would detail strip a DA pistol, as it looks very confusing (at least this one does)...

I just hope I don't have anything break :(

Well, I got it back together without the ambi side spring (I assume it had a spring as it shot out in a hurry) It turns out that it was the problem all along. Fiddling had made the detent stick out and no longer allow the sear's housing to go rearward which was causing me a great deal of stress, when I finally took out the sear and put the ambi safety in position to see if it sat properly it must have dislodged it and out it came at a fair speed past my shoulder. I found the little metal detent but the assumed spring is long gone somewhere on my kitchen floor. But when I put the detent in properly the sear fit in just as easily as it came out.. So lesson learnt I guess. I may take it apart again today just to get use to it.
