Help Deciding. Glock 17 or Beretta 92FS

I say get both if you can. The Beretta 92 is an awesome pistol that shoots great and is dead nuts reliable. Not to mention gorgeous. The slide mounted safety is a common thing people bring up, I personally find it a non issue.
Can't say anything bad about Glock either. I've shot quite a few of them (other people's) and just recently acquired a G22 gen 4 for a nice price. The trigger seems a little heavy but has a nice break. Have no doubt I'll love it just as much as my Beretta's.
Sig 226 might still trump both tho..

A beretta 92a1 was my first pistol and I still love it to this day. I also own a gen3 g17 and a gen4 g19 which I also like. You can not go wrong with either but you really should own both, even if bought used

Both are good,

Beretta because I dont like polymer or hammerless pistols for range use. Different story if it's being carried around but for the range, I say go with Beretta...or better, a CZ lol

So, I'll end up sounding like the d*** in this thread. You've handled both, you know what your near future uses and goals are, you seem like you have a decent understanding of the "implications" of owning either. So why ask for someone else's opinion? There will be those who say one or the other, others who say both and others who say try before you buy and get the one you like most.

Buy what you like.

The one that's the most comfortable to you. Glock is my preference althought I find both to be extremely reliable, and easy to clean. Glock has only 35 parts vs 92fs has 53. I'd recommend a Zev Tech Fulcrum trigger upgrade on any Glock as they are very smooth.

I say Beretta although the trigger pull takes a bit of getting used to, its a much more accurate pistol in my opinion. Beretta has such a buttery smooth action, non tilting barrel and even though being a large frame gun it feels comfortable.

I have shot both and bought an M9 ;)

Glock. While the beretta look nicer, the slide monted safety is a pain in the butt when you rack the slide in action shooting. The DA/SA trigger is much harder to master for biginner too.

Glock seems to be the favourite by a long shot.
Sounds the only other gun that was mentioned a few times was a Sig 226. I handled one for a split second so may have to go back and handle it as well.

Oh yes...

The sig is my favourite pistol in my collection... But you didn't mention it could be in the running.

Also the CZ is quite nice as well.
