So I'm having trouble deciding on a handrail for my m14.

I had sort of decided on the $200 Ultimak handrail as a lot of ppl say how good it works for them.

Then I came across Fab Sports hand rail for only $120.

Has anyone tried one of these? does it mount just as solid as the ultimak?

Might be because of the all this financial ooplaw around the world and the fact that Cdn $ is now in low 0.80.......;)

+ 1

+ 20 % US $ it's + 20 % here, it's same thing if you buy directly to USA you pay 20 % more now.

It's funny, 200 $ US (240 $ CAN) for a mono rail it's not expensive for you, but 120 $ CAN for a tri-rail is not a good price.

Don't forget shipping. He quoted me approx $140.00 delivered a couple of months ago.

It's free shipping when you order to Ultimak ?

I got it from Fab Sports, it fits like a glove and I have had no troubles with it. I have never used the Ultimak so cannot really comment. There is zero movement and does the job really well.

lol well dont worry fab, i shot off an email to ya for a price quote on about a $400 order so :p hurry up and respond :D

hoping to be picking up a duracoated usgi stock, fabs rail, aimpoint clone and a rubber butt pad in the coming weeks!

You will want the Ultimak. There is no good reason to have the side rails and the top rail sits too high on the chinese piece. The Ultimak will act as good heat sink, firm up the BBL reducing whip, be more ergonomic, sit lower and attach to the BBL better then the chinese unit.

You really can't go wrong with the Ultimak unless you want to mount a conventional scope.
