HELP! Dominion Arms Backpacker

lol, look in the backpacker review thread (has a red frowny face next to it) in the last few pages of it, I posted a link to the PDF assembly diagram of it (well of a rossi which is almost the same)

then set aside at least a couple of hours to try and put it back together (it took me 4 hours)

here is the URL to the Rossi diagram

oh you can always message me if you want, I will probably be having nightmares of putting that thing back together for months, I can see if I can help

once you find a suitable short slave pin for the trigger mech, and have a diagram, it goes back together good:)

not that i'm going to take mine apart ever again:redface:

which way does that coil spring go in? the one that cause the hammer to drop?

Never mind...figured it out.

I keep typing blackpacker every time I do my searches...lol

just make sure when you put the trigger guard back in, you get the short side of that spring, on the upper/back side of the large pin holding the guard in, otherwise it doesnt work.

I didnt have a short pin to do it with, which is why it took me 4 hours of fiddling to get it back together.... next time I can get some steel rod in the right diameter, I'll be making some short "assembly" pins though, just incase Im stupid enough to take it all apart again. :)

K I got it back together. I did what you talked about in using a short pin. I got a nail that was a slightly smaller diameter and cut it to lenth and wrapped masking tape around it to make it about the same diameter. Then I assembled the trigger into the trigger assembly and put it in. Hammered the slave pin out.

Had a huge smile on my face when I was done cause it seriously took me close to 5 hours of fiddling with it. Almost worth buying a new shotgun.

haha, I almost did just buy a new one, when I got the trigger guards main pin back in, and realised the spring had popped to the lower side of the pin making the hammer useless.
