Hi everyone. Can't find an answer doing a site search and for some reason I haven't found a lot on the web.

I have a Enfield 1917 30-06 that shoots 4" left at 50 meters.

It consistently shoots 4" left with different charges and powders. I was doing a ladder test with RL17 and "IMR" (Dominion) 4064.

So my question is, how was the front sight put in place? Is there a pin or screw that needs to be loosened? Or can I just use a brass punch or modified C-clamp to drift the sight?

Thanks in advance.

(The gun loves Reloader 17 btw. Got a couple of cloverleaf groups).

Punch or a sight pusher is all you need. Just take off the front sight protector and move the front sight to the left until you are on.

If you remove the "front sight protector" you remove the whole front sight. The protector wings and front sight base are one part. It ain't like a No. 4. Holes in the side of the wings are to allow a punch to access the front sight blade for windage adjustment.

Brain fart on my part, you are correct.
