I am looking for a couple different .22lr rifles. The first one is a Norinco JW-15, I would prefer the backpacker short barrel, but I would be happy if I could find the regular barrel if a backpacker can't be found......marstar lists them, but are sold out, and I have searched endless websites, with no luck.....help please, if anyone knows were I can find one of these Norinco, cz clones......help, please help....lol

The second .22lr rifle that I'm trying to find, is a Winchester Wildcat, heavy barel, or dportet barrel.....or a TOZ equivalent bolt action, that the Winchestet actually is... I bought a winchester wildcat about a year and half ago, brand new from lebaron's, and for some stupid reason, I sold it because I thought I would never use it.....but I realize now, it was a big mistake selling it, because I really want a quality .22lr accurate rifle, for my kids to practise, because they are interested in getting involved in long range .22lr competition shooting, because its affordable.....these winchester wildcats were for sale, for a couple years, nearly everywere for the $200 price range, but now they seem as knowere to be found, as the winchester, or a toz.....if anyone knows were one cam be found, please either post a reply or pm me directly please.....help cgn brothers

If I cant find either one, or both, prefered, than, I'm just going to get a avage or go big, or go home, and get a real cz rimfire...thanks

I have the wildcat with heavy barrel and adjustable trigger! Sadly its not for sale, but I know exactly why I want one! They are an amazing little rifle :)
Good luck in the search!

No, the wildcat does not need to be a heavy barrel.... I would prefer the heavy barrel because my new .22lr will eventually be used or long rangr .2 2lr target shooting compettion eventually, but if I came across agood deal on a regular sporter barrel, then I would buy thar....its kind of a "plan B"...... I would imagine a heavy vs sporter barrel would be similar in accuracy, but the sporter barrel would heat up quicker.........I'm so pi$$ed of, that I sold my heavy barrel wildcat.....it was the best bang for the puck, in a bolt action .22lr.

Does the sporter barrel wildcat, have the same admjustable trigger, an 4 mags, like the heavy barrel wildcat ?

Does the tually, so a heaclvtildcat have to be a heavy barrel?

It has 4 mags 3 - 10 round and 1 - 5 round. I have shot lots of rounds through a 22 in a short about of time and never had a 22 get hot. The trigger doesnt look like it is adjustable. It is a pretty accurate little 22 though.
The last ones prophet river was selling were for 399

ditto; it's a fantastic little .22, and quickly becoming my favourite turn-bolt rimfire, despite the (relatively) low price. Even at double what I paid for it, I don't think I'd sell it.

$400 at prophet river....ouch...I paid around $250 taxes incuded form lebarons, about 1 1/2 years ago....I sad in my safe, unfired for a couple months, so I decided to sell it, and help fund another rifle. Everyone usually regrets selling one gun, in there lifetime....and my biggest mistake for selling a gun, is for sure was, selling my wildcat.... The recessed crown heavy barrel, slick action, the overal quality of the gun, built start to finish, made the quality rival a cz rifle.

I might spend the big bucks & get a cz 452 or cz455, if I cant find a reasonably priced wilcar, toz, or savage

Me too, and there is no way on God's green earth that I would sell it for anything near $200!

I bought mine on sale at LeBaron about 2 years ago. Taxed and shipped it came to $328 IIRC.

Thats what I probably paid also, just been a while so I forgot the price.... Rer it was a gearce or alot of gun the only thing I did'nt like about the wildcat was the cheap, flimbsy, plastic magazines, that always seemed finicky, to get them to seat properly in the magwell. I would of preferred one solid metal magazine, over 4 cheap plastic mags.....this was the guns only fault, imho.

Blueflash,
The sported version does not come with adjustable trigger.

And the plastic magazines... Yes they feel cheap, but I never have any problems seating or otherwise!
I paid $270 for mine with less than a brick through it, based on winchester msrp of $309,
I was satisfied, even having thrown a $100 scope on it a buddy offered me and even $500... He left without the rifle!

The mags are polymer but they haven't given me any problems. The two things I don't like about it are a fairly long take up on the trigger before release and that the balance isn't great for field carry. Its really front heavy.

Overall tho, I think it was a steal for what I paid. My complaints aren't serious issues to me.
