Looking to see if anyone knows where I could find a Cz 527 “rustic carbine” (according to cz’s website) in 7.62x39? It’s the model with the satin finish beechwood stock with darker checkering similar to the picture below. There was one in the EE recently and by the time I could pull the trigger it was gone.. any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Keep an eye on the EE, there have been a couple in the last few weeks.... never heard them referred to as rustic before but they do have a reputation for cracking and many people bed them to help in that regard.

Ya I hadn’t either, until I noticed that there was a a bit of a difference in stock finishes. I’m not interested in the walnut stock model until I’ve lost hope on finding the beech stock model.

They are always up on the EE and GP. Just be prepared to spend ALOT more than I personally think the rifle is worth haha. I got one in plastic to match the rest of my plastic cz’s. For about $700 less than most of them are going for in wood or lux stocks.

I'd take what you can find and not limit yourself. They don't make them anymore. The newer production models are not prone to cracking and the older models can be bedded.

Best bet might be to have one imported from the usa if you really want the rustic one. That one in the ee is the only one I ever recall seeing in canada, but I haven't specifically been looking out for them either.

Not sure I'd go out of my way to find one of these...if I'm buying a wood stock rifle I kinda want it to be nice, not intentionally ####ty looking by the manufacturer.
