I am wondering if anyone can provide any information about an old shotgun I have. I recently purchased it from someone who had inherited the gun. They knew nothing about it and had never fired the shotgun. From what I can find it is an American Gun Company Victor single shot 12 gauge and was made sometime in the 1930’s or earlier.
I am mostly curious if it is safe to fire modern 2 ¾” 12 gauge shells in this gun. I will have a gun smith look at the shotgun prior to using it the first time; however I don’t want to spend the money on a gun smith if there is no chance this can be used with modern shells.
Sorry about the upside down photos. The image hosting sight I use insisted on flipping some of the pictures and I cannot figure out how to fix it.
Thanks
