I was browsing Brownell's website looking to replace my Ejector/Extractor springs on my Norc M14 with Springfield M1A replacements, but I cannot seem to find them anywhere on Brownell's site. Could someone link them for me to be sure I order the right ones, or if Brownell's do not carry them, could you suggest where they can be obtained?

Edit- I just want to point out that I am specifically looking for the Springfield Ejector/Extractor springs, not the Wolff springs. I figure I can replace these springs now and hopefully avoid any issues mounting the ARMS 18 mount later on.

I think I found the Ejector spring, but no extractor spring

If you click on brownells quick find schematic #823 you will find that this part is not available from factory along with 9 other bits.

Did you try the SAI web store?
Why not 762mmfirearms or Wolff?

I just want to point out that I am specifically looking for the Springfield Ejector/Extractor springs, not the Wolff springs.

I wanted to avoid the Wolff springs because the ARMS 18 mount can cause FTE's. A way to fix this is to cut a few coils on the Chinese springs (thus making them less powerful). The Wolff springs are marketed as being Extra Powerful springs thus would not fix the issue. While I read on this forum that Springfield springs will pretty much eliminate this issue AND possibly help avoid my rifle firing brass every which way :) I figure for $20-$30 it wouldn't be such a problem to just replace them now.

I will definately contact Springfield Armory directly and see if they will ship to Canada. I will also contact Nurmich arms and 762mm and see if their springs are Springfield equivalent as well as seeing if they will ship to Canada.

Thanks for the support :)

You're welcome.

The SAI webstore ships magazines to Canada, as long as you keep your gun parts total under 100$. Such springs should be classified the same. You may use the remainder of 100$ to get some SAI 5/10 mags.

762mmfirearms will certainly tell you that their springs are made to USGI spec. Call them and they'll take care of you for almost any parts but no magazine.

:agree:
7.62mm is your best bet or call Desert Warrior Products & get them to specaily order them from Springfield for ya.

You nailed it. I JUST got off the phone with Mark, and he said that they produce their springs to the original USGI specs from back in the 50's 60's. Interestingly enough, when I mentioned I was originally looking for Springfield Armory's replacements, he laughed and said that, to his knowledge, Springfield orders them from WANG Industries LLC in China and wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones that ended up in the Norinco Bolts to begin with

Ultimately, whether or not that was true, I think I will order them in from 762mm. Mark was very good and has definitely made me want to do more business with them in the future!

I just received my little parcel with a whack of these springs from Mark at 762mmfirearms and I'm super pleased. Glad it will work for you and your needs. If you need any advice assembling that bolt , just lemme know!

Cheers,
Barney

Springfield get most of thier M1A parts from Wayne machine in Taiwan, not China.
Some of the parts are okay and some are junk. It all depends on the buyers price point.Sarco and Numerich also peddle some of these same parts .
