Help fitting a MOE handgaurd to norc m4

You've just run into the biggest pain in the butt about the Norc M4 (the rest is golden). Once you get the originals off you'll need to dremel or otherwise "finesse" the MOE handguards to fit...the lips are too thick for the delta ring and front retainers. It's a pain but doable...hang in there.

I haven't got a Norc, but I do recall reading on another forum that a dremel with a drum sander made the job a lot easier. Mark the MOE handguard with dykem or a visible marker, try fitting and see where the markings are rubbing off onto the Norc. Carefully remove a small bit of material, and repeat the fitting process.. Shouldn't take more than an hour, but be patient.

Step 1: Get rid of Norinco
Step 2: Buy in spec AR15
Step 3: Put MOE handguard on without issues

Seriously though just use a dremel.

hey smart ass i have 3 mil spec US made AR-15s so yes i know its out of spec. so if you dont have anything usefull to add dont comment

lol well you dont make any sense the rifle being out of spec is the reason behind this problem btw all norcs m4s are out of spec

Right, we all know the Norc is out of spec, so what new/useful information are you posting? The answer is simple. Buy an in spec rifle or use a dremel. Do you really need help in solving this?

BCViking,

When your done could you post some pictures and descriptions of what you dremeled on the handguards? I got my MOE handguards and started to dremel them, I can get both handguards on separately, but they both don't fit on at the same time. Ended up putting the originals back on.

Thanks,

this is a nightmare to do im about to give up i dremeled the lips down thinner matched them to size of the factory handgaurd using calipers and they still dont want to fit .. this is so not worth the trouble. now my moe is too loose on a spec AR, unless i get it to fit its $30 down the drain.

YAY IM DONE !!
