Help for CGN members from Slave Lake.

I have to say that I am overwhelmed with the generosity that I have seen firsthand since the fire went through our town. I am proud to see that CGN is no different.

Thanks very much

Hey Ted
I live in the G.P area.Even the stores have ways to donate to the fire vic's.
I think what you have started is great.
I am looking forward to see how this all works out.As I have said I am sure I have a 22 or gear I can part with.
Thanks Again Ted for getting this rolling.

I've got a used but okay condition Leupold fixed 4x power (gloss black) to go to someone up there in need of it.
I think it's the old M8 Compact line with the friction ring adjustment & standard heavy duplex.

Edit: Number 2 is now spoken for, but ^this first one ^ it still here.

My band just finished playing as part of a benefit dance for Slave Lake. We had four bands, all sonated their time...even the alcohol was donated to the cause. With the silent auction, it will likely top $7,000 for those folks.

It is a very worthy cause and besides, I bet they would do the same if it was my Town which suffered like that. :D

You are truly one of those people that stands out at the front of the crowd, a standup guy. I don't have a rifle to donate but I do have a couple of extra scopes I couldn't resist purchasing at gun shows as well as a couple of fishing rods that could use some exercise. Let me know details.

The fishing rods with reels are two old fly rods and a spinning rod, used for Steelhead. The scopes are new.
- A Bushnell Banner 1.75x-4.5x
- A Bushnell Sportview Rifle/Airgun Scope, 3-9x32 mm with Adjustable Objective

I am looking for an old tang safety Ruger 77R in 30-06 for a friend of mine that lost everything in the Slave Lake fire. I am trying to replace the rifle he has hunted with for the last 30-40 years. The closer to new condition the better but would look at anything that is in at least excellent shape and completely original. I only mention the Slave Lake angle hoping that it will inspire people to keep their eyes open. I am not looking for a deal and will pay top dollar for a nice one. I am hoping to find it before the fall so he has it for hunting season. Thanks.

I completely missed this when it was current.

Is help still needed? For sure I can donate a gun or scope, or hunting gear, or ??????

Ted, BLESS YOU!

Doug
