And the calculated muzzle velocity should be within 150 fps or so of the actual muzzle velocity.

Exactly. I always chuckle that Quickload provides estimated pressures and MV's to the single digit, when they're +/- 10% at best IMO.

I have always found published load data more consistently closer to reality, as they actually test the load.

And even then variances in powder lots, and chamber dimensions effect the actual muzzle velocity.

I find with pressures it tends to err on the side of caution, punched in a few listed and long used loads and got "unsafe pressures do not use!" Including a couple that where start loads out a reputable manual.
