Help: Glock 17 won't fire - can't remove slide from frame

There was a problem with the transfer bar. By pressing in and down through the hole at the right-rear of the slide it released the mechanism and the slide came free.

I've seen this once with a Glock where the trigger bar had broken off at the cruciform.
