Help - Glock 22 vs. Norinco NP58

Why .40? will there be a difference for you if you go 9mm? .40 is more pricey and causes more wear on your chamber/parts etc on the glock.

im supprised your pondering .40s&w. 9mm is the cheapest, and .40 is the same price as .45acp, except you can get norc .45 acp for the same price as AE 9mm, or less from canada ammo. dont go with .40sw unless you have a good hook up on ammo for less than 20$/50 or are already set to reload it. 9mm is the easiest and cheapest, and .45acp the next cheapest if you want to shoot big stuff.

i have a bunch of norcs and a nice glock. all work great, the glock does really feel awesome in the hand tho, i will get another for sure. try and handle both first, gonna be hard to find a norc at a store tho.

If you reload, 40 bullet is only ten to fifteen dallors more then 9mm for a thousand, brass can pick up from range. they are not much different. As for wear the chamber?? never heard anything like that unless you over charge.

Get a Glock in 9mm. If you look at the cost of shooting as a whole, you spend more on ammo than you do on guns in a very short time. 40 S&W costs a lot, recoils sharply, and does a great job of punching holes in paper. 9mm costs less, causes less recoil, and does a great job of punching holes in paper. On Monday I fired 500 rounds of 9mm, it cost $120 (cheap factory ammo) - if I'd been shooting 40 S&W that day at the range would have cost me $250 if I'd been shooting commercial reloads.

Lots of Norinco bashers about.
I agree some of the Norinco models are poorly made and disappointing.
Do a bit of research and avoid those models.

However, the NP29 and NZ85 are excellent guns.
Plus, glocks are ugly. Not everyone loves the new generation of Glocks, based on my internet reading.

If you like the looks of the norinco over the glock, get the Norinco.

However, I suggest the NZ85 over the 58, since as already mentioned, it's in 9mm.

If you shop carefully on EE, you can get the NP29 and NZ85 for about the cost of the Glock.

Gen 4 Glock 22 owner, strongly recommending you to join the fold. Get a norinco later, after you get a real gun. The different backstraps are a huge bonus as well.

I have a NP58 and very impressed. Never liked Glock. If I wanted a plastic gun, I would buy a squirt gun ;)

So your logic is that you don't like polymer? Care to elaborate as to why its so 'bad"?

Same for you. Your criteria include aesthetics, and it appears aesthetics are a higher priority over quality and function? I especially like your last sentence. If you're paying Glock prices for a Norinco, you're grossly over paying. If you are willing to pay Glock prices for a knock off Chinese copy of a decent quality gun, then why not buy a quality gun, like the Glock? Wait, I suspect the reason behind not doing this has to do with your desire for aesthetics over performance and quality... Carry on.

So you have no supportable and/or logical reason why they're so bad/suck other than aesthetics??? That's what I got out of the video. Did I miss anything?
