ok i bought an El Faisan - SxS .410 double-barrel shotgun
works great but triggers are very stiff, is there an easy way to lighten them up a bit before season starts that doesnt break the bank

If it is an older style 410, I have the same. The triggers are very hard to pull. Personally I think it was done for reasons of safety. My 410 does not have any safety features. Even though I have never done a pull weight I would guess 15 lbs or more. I would think a gunsmith's cost would be more trouble than it's worth for this shotgun.

As far as I remember this is an imported spanish gun at the lower end of the quality range. You could try polishing all the trigger part to remove rough edges. However do not over do it as I think the trigger parts are case hardened and you don't want to cut through the hardened skin. As M77 said the cost of gunsmithing is more than the gun is worth.

agreed that the cost of a gunsmith might be worth more than cost of the gun
i thought there might be an easy DIY trick i could do
i do know it perfomed well on the racoon last night when i caught up with it in the hen house
