Help! How to fix my Effin-A Comp.

Drill a hole through each set screw and use some penetrating oil, then use an easy out. Not the spiral ones. Get the ones that are square and tapered with 4 biting edges. You can buy single sizes, you don't have to buy a set.

I dont know if those will work, I am using the 2mm allenkeys and holy crap those set screws are tiny.

Limp wristing it? No. I have broke allen wrenches and set screws that are starting to strip. I of coarse tried WD, and did not get any where with it really. I then tried Luquid Wrench and thats how I got the ones I did, out.

Have you tried contacting Ares-Armor? They may have run into this problem before & might offer an alternate solution to those already suggested. They were pretty quick to respond to my request for an instruction sheet for my Effin-A Mk 1 when I contacted them recently.

It's a shame Ares-Armor decided to drop the original Mk 1 completely, as the newer Mk 2 reminds me of a WW II U.S. grenade and doesn't look fitting on the end of an AR...

As an aside if anyone has an Effin-A MK 1 in .308/7.62 with a 5/8x24 tpi they wanna get rid of, i'm all ears & EMT

No new MKI models. They were discontinued and the MKII still isn't available in canada because armtac let thier import license lapse.
