I recently took apart my Winchester model 94 , Pre 64, for an attempt at cleaning it , But ever since I took it apart it has never cycled like it used too, The main problems are , the carrier will not lift the cartridge high enough to allow it to be pushed into the chamber , and the second problem is the carrier is getting hung up on something after the action is cycled , so the load gate will not open, unless you move the leaver up and down a bit the whole cycling action seems to be really rough and not like it was

I have had my rifle apart many times trying to fix this but nothing is working,I have even tried replacing the carrier and carrier spring
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

The carrier snaps up and then pushed down by the lever. If the screws that hold the carrier in are not exactly in the carrier holes, the carrier will bind and create some of the problems you are describing. Check the carrier spring as well.
