Hi there everyone,

Thanks for reading! Just got back from a weekend at basic training! I have bought myself a cheap Norinco CQA to practice with. I know there cheap I don't need those posts.

I tried to do a basic field strip of the firearm but I cannot get the cam pin out of the bolt carrier! Makes it hard to clean! I know i don't need to have to take the gastube receiver off. Or shouldn't have too,,,,

Heres a photo, Any advice would help. And yes I already turned it every way possible it will not come out!

Thanks

It appears that the cam pin is already turned, i suspect op is having problems with it hitting the gas key maybe?

This ^^^

Thank you guys!

Also yes the firing pin is out, and the cam pin is facing the way it should be for removal, turn it 90 degrees and it locks and firing pin will slide threw as it should.

Just the gas key is blocking it from coming out, its not normal I'm sure of this, was just hoping for some advice,,

Maybe buy a new decent brand name bolt and start a new build :)

He can't have a firing pin in there with the cam pin turned in that direction.
Turn over the BCG and smack it on a piece of hardwood.

I will give this a try! but I really don't think that will help, I was prying quiet hard to get it out, its like 1/16'' from making it past the gas key.

Should I remove the gas key and "grind" down the top of the cam pin?

Did you try turning it 180 degrees and try that way?

May not be square and offset so may come out that way. Or was assembled in wrong.

Same problem on my CQ BCG. It took a while of alignment but mine came out. Another option is to soak in a cleaner before also to ensure components are not gummed up...dont remove gas key! Try close inpection of where it is binding....and good luck. I would be interested in finding out your solution as I still struggle with this.

I was gonna say the same thing. I've had a cam pin that was a hair wider on one side than the other.

Silly question but the bolt is pushed fully into the bolt carrier so that the cam pin is smacking the end of the cam pin slot right? No carbon buildup there? :p

If they got it in, you should be able to remove it.

Only if they put it in after they put the gas key on. I cannot remember, Been since 09 since I handled a AR15 that I had to take it apart :( Dunno if it can spin 360 with the firing pin out.

Pull the bolt forward, rotate the cam pin 180 degrees, push bolt backwards and try again? Good luck. Worst case sceanerio, you can put a dremel to the side of the cam pin and remove some material?

Yes I have tried the 180 degrees, 90 degrees, I have tried every way possible! I know how it "should" come apart it just doesn't folks! lol

Sounds like ####y quality control, witch I'm not surprised lol

It could possibly be so gummed up that it won't go back far enough, I really don't think it was that dirty though!

I will be figuring out some sort of solution tonight when I have time to tinker around. Get out the file worse comes to worse

Everyones advice seems to be saying "do not remove the gas key" Any particular reason? Or just because I shouldn't have to?

I've had this on a few norincos I've worked on for customers. The cam pin is out of spec and to wide on one side.
Bbb

Ever seen it out of spec on both sides? lol
