HELP!!! I can't stop buying handguns

I always wondered, is it bad if the person doesn't know exact numbers? Say more than one ,less than five hundred!!!!

I know which guns I have, but anytime I'm asked how many, I have to count them in my head before I can answer. The number isn't something I bother to remember, they are all valuable and useful in their own way and I care about each of them as unique individuals.

Best not to ask that question easy rider...no one here has reached their true potential with just a couple of exceptions...lol...we are all in denial..and completing one transfer whilst shopping for the next...it’s quite the addiction...

Import, I need to ask. You know, misery loves company.

We are having to wait a horrible 24 hours for a transfer, here in BC. Its been like this since last year, IIRC. Its like the Chief Firearms is doing this on purpose to get me in trouble with the wife. Now its Canada Post that's the bottleneck...the EE beckons.

When she asks, I never give an exact number. But one day she got a peek while I was organizing the safe and she almost gagged...and went to the mall to pick up another pair of much needed shoes. She's given up on my addiction, I think the way I've given up on her shoes.

They cured my cancer they restarted my heart 2 times but i doubt they could save me from my passion-addiction, since i am 6 years it have been present almost every day with the same intensity, even bought a house in the US so i could protect my passion.

There is no cure for our addiction, the same way you can't fix stupid (Libs).

i stopped telling people how many guns i had because i feel it makes them uncomfortable when they know, that's also why i stopped telling people how much ammo i have on hand at any given time.

i find it best just to smile and pretend my phone just rang when the question comes up.

i will say that you may have too many when your kids start graduating and you cant wait for them to move out so you can have more room for more gun safes.

When I am pressed by someone for numbers I tell them I own the 4 guns every true Canadian should have.

A 10/22, a lever action rifle, an 870 shotgun and a SKS just because.

As when too how many is too many pistols, bah I can quit anytime...

At some point you'll reach a critical mass where it doesn't hurt to sell one or two because there's always an upgrade or new shiny out there to replace them. So for me its not the number per se but what they are and how they fit into the family. Another great thing about that critical mass is that at some point, Her Ladyship ceases to ask you what you're doing when you walk into the house carrying a rifle and she definitely can't figure out if its new or just a different year's vintage of your SMLE's, Mosins, Mausers whatever - that means additions are not an issue.

But, on the serious note, there is that investment issue. What does it cost in time / organization and money to insure them? Can you afford to not insure them? Is what you love under threat of confiscation (along with then orphaning accessories, ammo whatever)? Do you have adequate insurance?

I'm actually a bit peeved (rhymes with dissed) about the long term possibility of confiscation of anything but a single shot .22 short because I'm just at the end of a 1.5 year (planning and construction) addition to the house that included a purpose built gun room. I've now got a play space and it looks increasingly that someone will eventually want all my toys ..

OK so short answer to the question - how many are enough .. when you can leave a gun show without buying or lusting for that whatever's your passion, (and you can realistically afford / feed / house something if you bought it,) you have enough.
